Heart & Healing Therapy is a community based service, bringing a variety of creative healing modalities to the community it serves. Founded by two sisters, both with several years experience as social workers and therapists, seeking to explore and combine the healing practices of the West and East together. We have an office location and we can also come to you at your home if that is more comfortable for you. We acknowledge the unique journey that we each embark upon towards health and well being and the different paths we might take to get there. We offer individual therapy with a psychotherapeutic approach. We also offer private yoga sessions, co-meditation, reiki, and plant medicine consultation. Alternatively, we have community yoga classes and special events to participate in, right in the heart of beautiful historic downtown Milwaukie. Appointments can be scheduled as sessions focusing on any one of the above mentioned techniques or as a combination of the techniques. Our community is growing more and more every day and we are so honored and blessed to be among you in our wonderful community.

Sara Booth, LCSW, AAT Therapist and Clinical Herbalist Apprentice
Sara Booth began her path as a social worker 15 years ago when she got her first job out of undergraduate school with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She was a counselor in a group home supporting people experiencing Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) to live independently and out in the community. It was then that she realized she wanted to make this her life’s work so she went back to school and received her Master’s in Social Work with an Animal Assisted Therapy certificate. She is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and enjoys working with individuals and families as a Mental Health Therapist . She is also currently studying at Vital Ways Holistic Health clinic and is an apprentice at In Tune Apothecary to become an herbalist, with the hope of sharing her learnings and wisdom about natural medicines and the healing power of plants and food.
Sara believes that we are all our own best healers! She believes that this is at the foundation of everyone’s journey in transforming trauma, finding balance in life, and being nourished. Empowering oneself and creating space in life to be authentic and seek out vitality is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. She finds infinite value in working with her community to create an oasis where people can explore which aspects of vitality can elicit their own healing, and how to create balance in one’s life by exploring the strength that comes from struggle.
